Title: Self Portrait (2019)
Medium: Acrylic and magazine pages
Size: 40×40 cm / 60×100 cm
Description: I enjoy multivariate testing and the rigorous thought processes behind it, I also enjoy the almost day-dreaming aspect of unrestrained imagination and creativity. These two self-portraits are made using magazine cutouts and splatter painting to surround the subject to convey my enjoyment during the creative process. The work is based on the fortitude, self-confidence and a stoic appearance behind my creative artwork. It is a perfect description of what creative art means to me, and the proactive attitude I have towards art; this showcases my characteristics and confidence to a tee.

Title: The Wild and The Tamed (2020)
Medium: Chinese Ink, charcoal pencils, and watercolor
Size: 26×38 / 38×26 cm
Description: I began ink wash painting in early 2018. The uncertainty that the ink presents is something that infatuated me. A beasty lion, by the natural spread and gradient of ink, becomes a fierce beauty. The tranquil flowers and birds, the subtle and soft beauty is really accentuated by the spread of the ink. I based my work on traditional Chinese brush painting, and experimented a few other techniques hopefully creating a more diversified and fuller image.
